Palm Beach Children's Chorus is interested in children ages 7-18 who love to sing.
Palm Beach Children's Chorus is divided into 4 divisions:
1. Prelude or Beginning Choir for children ages 7-9
2. Concert Choir-Concerto for youth ages 10-15
3. Concerto-PREMIER or Advanced Choir for singers ages 14-18
4. Musical Theatre/Youth Arts Workshop for children 7-17
CHORUS AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
CHOIRS/ENSEMBLES:
Prelude-Beginning Treble Chorus: Boys and girls ages 7-9
No Audition required
Concerto-Concert Chorus: Singers ages 11-18 will sing 2 minutes of a song of choice with recorded accompaniment. In addition, singers will be tested on pitch matching and scales.
*All Singers will be placed in the appropriate choir group based on their age and singing ability.
THEATRE PROGRAM:
Musical Theatre/Theatre Auditions:
Our musical theatre productions are open to children and youth ages 7-18.
***We will soon offer music and theatre discovery classes for children ages 5-7.
We work with our sister non-profit organization, the South Florida Society for Arts and Culture, to bring a dynamic children's theatre program, The Youth Arts Workshop, to children throughout Palm Beach County.
Our performances have included productions such as Aladdin, Jr., Hairspray, Jr., Wonderland (The Musical Mis-adventures of a Girl Named Alice), and A Wrinkle in Time, Willy Wonka, Jr and many summer camp Theatre showcases.
To audition for our Musical Theatre/Theatre program students will audition for each production with a monologue and a 16 bar cut of a song from a musical theatre production. Each production is offered as a class during our regularly scheduled calendar year (either Fall or Spring Production). This is an optional addition to membership in Palm Beach Children's Chorus. Students receive expert instruction in theatre, vocal, and dance (choreography).

Does your child love to sing, perform, or simply light up when music begins? Palm Beach Children's Chorus gives children and teens the opportunity to develop their voices, build confidence, make new friends, and experience the excitement of performing as part of an outstanding choral ensemble.
New singers are welcome throughout the season as space permits.
Prelude Choir| Ages 7-9
No previous choir experience required. New singers participate in a brief, friendly voice placement so we can get to know their voice and help them get started.
Concert Choir| Ages 10-18
Placement auditions are available by appointment. Singers are evaluated for vocal readiness, musicianship, and the ensemble level that will help them grow.
Concerto-PREMIER| Advanced Tract
Youth ages 14-18 are placed by audition or director recommendation. This ensemble is for experienced singers who are ready for advanced repertoire, performance, and leadership opportunities.
No intimidating audition. No need to prepare something perfect.
